Gravestone says that she died on 13 January 1870, aged 74 years 8 months and 6 days. The difference between 7 April 1795 and 13 January 1870 is actually 74 years 9 months and 6 days.
Grahamstown Journal Friday 14 January 1870 - Transcribed by Sue Mackay:
DIED January 13th 1870, at the residence of her Son-in-law John GARDNER, “Mount Pleasant”, Susannah, the beloved wife of Charles PENNY Sen of Salem; aged 74 years 8 months and 6 days. The Funeral Procession will start from Mr. FISHER’s residence in Salem at 1 o’clock tomorrow (Saturday), 15th January 1870. Friends at a distance will please accept the above notice.
