The year 2017 has been a time of many changes in our family. David and Vou moved home in March; Sarah moved in with Stephan in July; and we moved home to Paulshof (about 10 km away from our previous home) at the end of July. David's new computer company (TechDoctor) has grown amazingly rapidly in its first year, and Slyce Design is also doing very well. Benjamin is now two months away from his second birthday, and is a real delight to be with. Debbie looks after him four days a week. Sarah has done well with her maths tutoring company (Nerdy Bird), and, after graduating with a BA in philosophy and psychology last year, has decided to study maths and computer science this year. I have kept busy at work this year, but have also managed to keep up with regular running (especially my weekly parkruns). At the moment, I am busy putting together an International Ferro-Alloys Congress that will take place in Cape Town in February, and that is really keeping me on my toes.
