Olives and Plates, Linksfield 5 Sep 2026: Saturday afternoon 12:30pm - 6:00pm - Lunch at Olives & Plates Restaurant, Linksfield
Our main celebration will be at the Olives & Plates Restaurant, Linksfield. We will gather for a long lunch and full afternoon chatting to each other in a very attractive setting. The restaurant will be available to us from 12:30pm and we are free to stay until 6:00pm.

The restaurant is situated in an easily accessible new shopping centre (The Verge), visible from the N3 highway at the Linksfield turnoff (north east of the intersection). There is a lovely view of the nearby hills. The restaurant is large, and can accommodate up to 180 people. It has comfortable seating that is conducive for a long stay, and it is easy to mingle between tables. If we have sufficient numbers, we will have the use of the entire restaurant for the whole afternoon. Olives & Plates has an outstanding reputation for high-quality food. They will provide a three-course meal: a set menu with starter, choice of mains, and choice of dessert.

A map can be found here. The menu can be found here.
Distance from school = 14.6 km, 15 minutes
Distance from Sandton = 19 km, 16 minutes

Olives and Plates, Linksfield The final cost paid to the venue will depend on the number of people attending, and the chosen menu, but of course we don't know in advance exactly how many will attend. A menu will be posted here in due course. There will be a cash bar. We are asking for R500 per person, which will cover the meal, the venue, and a service charge for the staff as well. We don't want to exclude anyone on the basis of cost, so there will be provision for anyone who can't afford this to pay what they can afford. Payments are to be made online in advance. Please confirm attendance (with payment) as soon as possible. International payments can be done by credit card at this international payment link kindly set up by Hellen Davis (Cowie). Local payments can be made by bank transfer into Hellen's South African business account:
